Bigmouth Strikes Again

Well, another Drink and Draw tonight. I live for those. Come to them if you can, email me for info. Tonight I finished a Vicious Ambitious Drawing challenge. This is Fan Art of characters made by my VA brethren. Any true VA fan can name these figures off.

On a sidenote, here's some new blogs of my fellow artists you should be checking out - Nick Johnson - Ginger at Large, Johnny Luu - Honorary Thundercat, Steve Gervais - Next in line to be Santa Claus and Dan Andrews - Ex-Circus Strongman.

And although I don't know him personally, James Jean's art kicks my ass everytime I see it.

That's it for now, bitches.

Taint-Strike!

Hey Droogies,

Small convention this weekend, sold our new books, Mercy Seat 2 and Pumpkin Juice. Here's a sample of the cards I made for it. I liked sketching on small cards, so I'm totally doing this for next years April Convention. Met alot of cool people like Chad, What About Ivan, Gio, and a cute girl with cat ears named Emily.

Plans for the daily blog are coming, I just have to get this Pitch Bible business out of the way at work and I can have my free time back.

Strike Hard! Strike Fast! No Mercy! TAINT STRIKE!!!

Wheezin' the Juice

Hey gang,

Here's a few panels from a recently finished comic story called 'Bread'

It's for Vicious Ambitious' new horror anthology coming out the end of this month at the Calgary Comic and Toy Expo. The anthology is called Pumpkin Juice. More details later.

Starting next weekish, my attempt to make this a daily sketchblog like my heroes Cory Walker and Nate Bellegarde.

The Wizard Turns On...

Hey Gang,

Yes, I went to the San Diego Comicon and yes, it rocked my boxers and didn't call the next morning. Fucking amazing.

What a wellspring of geekdom, free shit, artistic gold, professional snobbery, drunken confiding and inspirado. Met a bunch of artists I haven't seen since the Calgary Expo, like Humberto Ramos, Fransisco Herrera, Alberto Ruiz, Robin Mitchell, Jim Zubkavich and Steve Leialoha.

I also got to meet/see some new dudes like Ashley Wood, David Mack, Jim Mahfood, Paul Pope, Colleen Coover, Deanna Marsigliese, Andrew Robinson, Phil Noto, and James Jean.

What a cock show! The most inspirational of all -- Paul Pope. A true artist who chooses comics over any other medium he's done. I have a man-crush on him.

Well after a bunch of swag was bought, lessons learned, people met, and inspiration suckled, I'm more jazzed than ever for the artistic road in front of me. First project after San Diego -- Bread, a short horror story for an upcoming Vicious Ambitious book called 'Pumpkin Juice'

Boo-yaka sha, all up in yo' cahr!
