Calgary Expo

Hey gang, I've been really busy lately with my latest comic book venture, The Five Stages of Near-Death Lesbian Sex. It's on sale at the Vicious Ambitious table at the Calgary Expo this very weekend! I'll get back to the Royal Tenenbaums next week and after that, maybe Life Aquatic? Maybe Fantasy Mission Force? Stay tuned.

If I Was Your Vampire

Here's some ol' webworthy Drink and Draw stuff, including a special Drink n Draw Social Club coaster the Reverend Dave Johnson threw my way. I drew a racially stereotyped James Bond villain on it.

That's all for now!

Soonest

Well, it's been far too long since I've updated. Blame my old computer crapping out and Fallout 3. Nobodies Issue 2 starts next month for the Calgary Expo in April.

Vicious Ambitious, the indy comic book label to which I am a part of, started a podcast. You can subscribe to the feed here.

That's all for now.

Future Sailors

Hey,

Here's a pic of me as the Prisoner, done for a giveaway poster at Coversion last weekend. Next we have a Victorian Age Ghost Rider and a Caleb-inspired head pile. Drink and draw is awesome!

I'll be working on a comic for the rest of the month. Still waiting for the Mad Max trilogy to pop-up on blu-ray. I have an itchin' to draw post-apocalyptic Aussies.

If You Listen To Fools, The Mob Rules

Hey Creepsters,

Here's some colored work of recent. The Nobodies finally wrapped up and it's at the printers. That'll be for sale at the Tubby Dog Release Party next Thursday, check the image for details as well as the Gong Show/Calgary Expo next weekend. It's gonna be the balls. Gong balls. Do visit myself and the Vicious Ambitious table. We'll have 4 new books and lots of pie-throwing. No joke!

Also, some of my good friends will be in attendance, Johnny Luu, Daniel Andrews, James Davidge, and Riley Rossmo will be in Artists Alley, make sure you check those guys out.

That's all for now. GONG!

Keep Your Dreams, Just Gimme the Money

Hey gang,

Just in case you thought I was slacking, you thought wrong! Dead Wrong!

I'm currently working on an epic 6 issue mini-series with the first issue coming out for the Calgary Expo in April. It's called the Nobodies and it is the biggest comic project I've worked on yet.

Here's two pics from the pages I've already finished, stay tuned for more and maybe even a cover later this month!

I Want To Be The Girl With The Most Cake

Hey gang,

I'm hard at work on my big comic book project for this years expo. I recently finished up two stories for Gord Cummings' Mercy Seat Presents: Children Are Cruel. I wrote one and Jason Mehmel wrote the other. Not sure on the release date, but it'll be awesome when it comes out.

Taint-Strike!

Hey Droogies,

Small convention this weekend, sold our new books, Mercy Seat 2 and Pumpkin Juice. Here's a sample of the cards I made for it. I liked sketching on small cards, so I'm totally doing this for next years April Convention. Met alot of cool people like Chad, What About Ivan, Gio, and a cute girl with cat ears named Emily.

Plans for the daily blog are coming, I just have to get this Pitch Bible business out of the way at work and I can have my free time back.

Strike Hard! Strike Fast! No Mercy! TAINT STRIKE!!!

Divorced/Something in the wind

Two bits today. First up, this is one pic of three done for a special Vicious Ambitious sketchbook available for free at this year's Calgary Con-Version. For those uninitiated, it's a sci-fi/fantasy convention held here in Calgary every August. Me my comic book gang, Vicious Ambitious will be attending one or more panels on Sunday. Sunday only folks, but if you are interested in anything else at the convention, do go for longer! I hear there's even a slave auction.

The second item being that I divorced myself from my comic book store of almost two years now. I closed my file there today and it was a touch sad me chumleys. Since I got my file, there's almost always been something missing or something that doesn't belong in there. I decided that enough was enough. Not to slight the store itself or the clerks that work there, but the point of getting a file is to get the stuff you want held and ready for selling the instant you walk in. That said, I was not getting the most of my file.

Woo. What a vent.

Oh! Third Secret Item! My busted Ankle is like 98% better. I can finally get back to working out on Tuesday! Yay! Turkish Sit-ups!
